Images like that you can bet I moved in past minimum focusing distance and then back out enough to give myself a bit of wiggle room. The light is light peeking through fir tree branches. The camera is pointed up on maybe a 30 degree angle.

I also have an 18-135 shot Flickr found worthy of an Explore. Though I'm puzzled why it was deemed worthy.

My sigma 17-70C is gathering dust after I bought this lens. I can't think of a more versatile lens when travelling.

The sun is out again today, but cold, the spring melt pretty much came to a halt.

Wintergreen , being green in the winter, like it's supposed to.

And of course, my walking companions...

In keeping with one of the recent themes here, I'll add a wildlife photo. I took this by rolling down the drivers window in my vehicle. Miquelon Provincial Park, Alberta. Even though it's March, I still have to bump up the exposure and adjust white balance because natural light is so dull.

Ha, yeah I guess so but Colorado doesn't really count because that's home! It's just how this timing worked out.
