It was pretty quiet that morning at the park, when I decided to take the long way home, but I have a theory about moose and vehicles from my time in northern B.C. I think moose see vehicles as competitors for food, which is why the British Columbian moose would leave succulent weeds in watery ditches to run down the road in front of me. They were trying to draw my van away from their grazing area, much like robins trying to draw crows away from their nest. In this case, if I had steered my SUV towards the cut down poplars in front of this young moose, it probably would have become belligerent. Moose are related to cattle and only slightly smarter.

Thanks! Crested Butte is particularly into this kind of silliness. I have a hot dog suit in my closet, just in case!

I'll need some new tele boots. I posted on Flickr a pick showing how my beloved T-3's experienced their last day on planet Earth. Destroyed buckles that couldn't be replaced on 14 yr old gear. They don't make those anymore.

Nope! My T1s are dead too and I only have a light Nordic tele/touring setup for free heeling and AT gear for more ambitious BC skiing. So much gear...

I've spent the past couple of hours viewing almost all of the photos in this thread and I can honestly say, I don't every recall a lens with so much going for it. Sharpness, color saturation, contrast, great FL range, quality of build and just a beautiful "look" about the images it produces. I've only had mine for about two months and within the first week, I was in love! Of all the lenses I own, it's among the top three or four.... and that's running in some pretty fast company! Thank you, Pentax! You have given us a true gem of a lens!

I recently put together a book on Algqonuin Park, now I get to try and get it published (the real work). 33% of the images are taken with this lens.
