I don't know of any 18mm lens for an APS-C sized image circle with a flat focal plane.
The Sigma 8-16 is flat rom 16-12 mm. Technically not 18mm, but close.

IMO the sweet spot is f6.3/f8 between 20 and 70. This lens is very sharp in the center from 18 to 80. But you need to stop it down to get sharp edges. There is field curvature at 18.
At the long end, the lens remains sharp in the center (useful for portraits, where it has a nice bokeh, and for wildlife, as you can crop) but the edges are soft until f10-f11.
The weather has not been co-operating for the most part since I got my K-3. Still experimenting with finding the limitations of my lenses. I appreciate your feedback as it will speed up the process. Thanks.

Zooooommmm !!

This little one was flying through the vegetable patch. This lens on my K-3 is so sharp, it allows quite heavy crops and still produces very useable images.

Wow, there are some amazing photos on here at the moment!

Snapped this earlier tonight at the community bike shop.

I came across this tree during a bushwalk. It amazes me how it not only survived, but was thriving. K-3 and 18-135.
