Sledding! Probably more dangerous than a lot of the stuff we do.

+1 to that. It is extremely versatile. I am very glad that I have one.

I'm preaching to the converted, but this lens is so versatile.

The problem with posting images that are no more than 1280 pixels across is that it doesn't show how much detail can be captured with this lens on a 16 MP camera.

If you post the BB-code link provided by the "share" button onflickr, that accepts full size pictures on line, the pictures shows on Pentax Forums, and a click on it sends you to the original flickr page, for instance:

This little beauty was whizzing around the tracks at a model train show. With the trusty 18-135 on the K-3, I was able to get this " bokeh-licious " image.

Some classic cars...

About a week ago I attended a street fair in the old Phoenix neighborhood where my wife and I were kids. The 18-135 was the only lens I used to take some pics of the many classic cars that were on display. Here are a few.

A 1956 Ford Fairlane:

A 1955 Chevy Bel Air:

A 1930 Hudson:

A 1969 El Camino Super Sport:

A rather abstract shot of the open hood on a 1965 427 Sting Ray Corvette:

A 1965 Pontiac GTO:

A ready-to-race AC Cobra:

A 1959 Corvette:

A French Citroen 2CV - known as the French VW bug, and just as ugly.

This last one is a pic of the very rare Volksrolet:

John

Thanks for posting these John, some beautiful iron (well fiberglass for the Corvette) exceptionally well photographed. Amazing how the neither fish nor fowl Volksrolet makes the Deux Cheveaux look attractive, in spite of the obvious skill required to build the Frankencar.

Is that a natural scene? Looks so perfect it could be from a theme park or something like that.

Here is a small collection of pics I did when I first got this lens, this just shows the colors that this lens can pick up, there was very little done in terms of post processing(just a little trip I took to Universal Studios).......
