Explored some other parts of Vancouver that's not my usual walking route and came across a classic art deco building amongst all the glass office buildings.

A Mother's Love

We had my great grandson's first birthday party this past Saturday and I used the DA 18-135mm lens for the entire affair. It worked to perfection! Most likely, my most used lens.

Always surprising how good this lens is for birds, if you are close enough. Red Wattlebird (K-3 + DA 18-135)

Birds are in the centre of the frame, the lens even at 135mm is excellent for sharpness in the centre of the frame. It doesn't matter how many time you say that, people don't get it.

This little bird let me get close.

There are people who think the 16-85 would be better, but there just is no making up for that 50mm in every circumstance.

This photographer gets it. You don't have to convince me.

I can't see any embedded image from your Flickr account, not even a link in your post.

Cross-posted from K-3 thread

I was in Tokyo in January and wound up using the 18-135mm almost exclusively. I brought a Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 that I wished I'd used on the street at night a few times for the larger aperture, but the range of the 18-135 made it the best option when I was just wandering around not knowing what I was going to shoot, which was most of the time.
