A view from Cadgwith towards Lizard Point in Cornwall. In the distance is the Lizard lifeboat station at Kilcobben Cove and, at Bass Point, on the left hand edge of the image is the Lloyds(of London) building from which notice was sent to London of ships observed passing through the English Channel.

That's beautiful Basie.

BTW, you've got a bit of sensor cleaning to do there. Dusty environment + ILC = dust spots. :-(

Thanks Des. And small aperture to make it worse. For some reason it showed up much worse on the posting. Otherwise I would have cleaned it up a bit in post. Maybe a sharpening effect? I was hoping that there were no eagle eyes present to see it, but alas. It is very dusty and windy and the K5's dust removal does not work all that well. It is much better on the KP, but the Pentax gluestick cleans the K5 quite well

I've had exactly the same thing Basie - only seeing a dust spot after posting here an image uploaded to Flickr. Maybe the extra bit of sharpening that Flickr seems to add makes it more visible. But then sometimes I just miss them (a blind spot, you might say). I used one image as a screen background on my computer for years before a noticed a dust spot in the middle of it. Once you see it you can't unsee it.

Yes the ultrasonic dust removal on the KP and K-3 seem to work better. I've noticed the difference too.

BTW what I've done sometimes is fix the spot, upload the fixed version to Flickr, delete the original and replace the image in a post here (with a note saying that I've done it). I don't think there's anything wrong with that, even if the original has been liked.
