It is with bitter sweet sorrow that I say I moved to full frame (K1ii) and sold my APS-C gear, including the 18-135.

For people new to this thread, I must say that this lens is still one of my favorite of all time! It punches WAY above it's weight (cost) class and I'm not sure, despite what reviews say, that the D FA 28-105 is superior. I loved this lens enough that I bought one, sold it, tried the 16-85, sold THAT lens, and bought a second copy of the 18-135... all within a single year. It's a jack-of-all-trades and I wouldn't leave home without it.

Staying subscribed, just so I can feel the warm fuzzies of all the beautiful shots you folks are taking

It is not as if the K-1 II is a shabby camera. It is even the right brand.

It IS a great camera! I'm still learning how to make the most of it (the best part!), but honestly... the 18-135 would have kept me in Pentax APS-C, if anything could.

Seagull caught shortly after takeoff in the garden. Was lucky to have had this as crisp as it is (in my opinion). Not ideal with most of the light behind/angled, so little on the underbelly, but it came out alright with a little post-process editing!
Caught on K-S2, 100mm, f/5.6, 1/1600s.

Edit: It's dawned on me it appears to only have one leg...

I kept my 18-135 even after getting a K-1. Until Pentax releases an equivalent zoom for Full Frame, that is also WR, I will not part with it, but use it in Crop mode. It is still amazing on the K-1 in crop mode, and well worth the post processing to crop out vignette if I do use it in FF without crop.

I had a really good copy too! But I *needed* to sell off stuff to help fill the gigantic black hole in my bank account that resulted from the purchase of the K1ii, 28-105, and 150-450

I didn't know how good it was on FF (the 55-300 PLM is a treat on FF!) and had hoped the 28-105 might be a good substitute. I'll probably hunt for another copy of it once I'm caught back up a bit.

I am using mine as the main lens to capture an ordination this weekend. Since I calibrated it, it has been faultless

Thanks littlemoose and Des

The KP really does not mind highish ISO shots. My wife had to wait quite a while in the car while I was really enjoying myself

Where I live is in the middle of the 6 week season called Not-Winter. I've included pictures taken at 135mm and 18mm.

My friend in Montreal said that their two seasons are Winter and Construction.

Where is everyone? Is Not-Winter really Get-out-of-town season?
