Found this interesting concept in an inner-Sydney suburb. It requires a level of trust but it appears to be working. Taken with a K-3.
We started seeing those popping up around town (suburban Dallas Ft Worth) a few years ago. Every time we drove past one, my wife wanted to pull over and photograph it. But you beat us to the punch!

We have several here. One was in my neighborhood but the people who owned the house sold off the property and the new owner smashed it and took it down.

Jesse having a sniff

Jesse having a roll

Tia, running thorough the woods panning (captured by that terrible Pentax AF.)

Out social distancing. With the ski areas shut down you have to get to the top under your own power. I didn't let them get too close!

You have my utmost admiration for this, I hate poling with a passion. I know you can hike on the roads to get equipment up the mountain, but that is just way too much work. Point me downhill and I'll eventually get where I'm going.

Thanks! I like uphill skiing although there is a lot more to it than just poling. With touring bindings (and boots) and climbing skins attached you can go up using the basic xc skiing motion. A few thousand vertical feet is a great workout and then you get to ski back down!

Here's a little info about the gear and technique if you are curious.

Here's a pano taken with the 18 - 135 of the late sunset over the Schildmeer on a nice and calm evening. I like the little clouds as well as the colours and reflections.
