According the EXIF, this was shot at 18mm, I'll leave it to you to decide about the vignetting.

To tell the truth, I generally capture a scene knowing I am going to crop. While shooting I leave it uncropped on the K-1, though I do see both options in the OVF and compose accordingly.

WYSIWYG. I don't generally do lens correction
Neat! if that is indeed the 18mm shot, doesn't look too shabby. All that foliage might be masking some of the vignetting, but it's fine otherwise. Guess that means I should start saving for a K-1 or II then. I have an older FF KA Tamron 28-200, and the 35 and 50mm DA APS-C lenses work pretty well with my film *ist with very little vignetting. My 18-135 is the kit lens with the K-70.

You are fortunate to have had that lens as part of the kit, I purchased mine used here from the PF marketplace, and I do not regret it. I have travelled extensively taking only that lens, and seldom felt as though I needed another, and I appreciated the compact and lightweight form factor.. Some of the places I went were harsh environments, so the WR sealing made me feel much more comfortable when braving the elements . There is a thread devoted the lens on PF, in case you need more convincing.

Thanks. This is a photo I shot with the 18-135 lens last September + the K-70, just outside of B&H Photo in New York City. I scored a used Sigma 17-50 2.8 zoom lens while at B&H.

A great lens indeed. So versatile and pretty darn sharp. It hardly ever lets me down.

And here's another reason why I like this lens so much. This image was taken during 'wadlopen'. That is when we go out and walk on the tidal mudflat. The idea that you can safely enage with this salt water environment using a 'kit lens' is one of the pleasures available to Pentaxians. Cross-posted from the cloudscapes thread.
