A couple of images from inside the Forum, a nice and shiny new building for all sorts of cultural things in Groningen.

A dead tree. Handheld during the blue hour after the sun had set.

Excellent use of silhouette effect! The image works nicely.

Thanks! Those colours and that scene in the sunset/moonrise picture over Mesquite Flat is amazing, those colours are just otherwordly. As I've said in another thread: one of the things I like about seeing landscape photos here is the uncluttered horizon. In the netherlands pretty much every bit of land is used so it's very difficult to find any unspoilt horizon.

That's excellent, Paul. The contrast between the rectilinear features in the bottom half and the organic shapes in the top half (actually 1/3rd) is very nice and works better in monochrome, than in colour.

Thanks Hans. Normally, that's not an image I would consider doing in mono, but I'm glad I did

Nice image. However, as the owner of a similar watercraft I do object to the word yachts being between quotation marks, of course ;-)
