We have only three perennial rivers in Namibia, all on the borders. This one is the Kwando, which runs into the Zambezi. The trees are African Mango trees, fondly known locally as Bob Marley trees

Even the difference in colours above and below and the contour lines add to the effect, making the scene below the line look refracted like it would be under water. The lens can't take credit for this shot, you did an excellent job of framing it.

Thanks R Glaseland Craig for the comments. To be honest, now that you mention it, I cannot unsee it, but I just liked the look of the dry river bed valley in the gravel plains.
