Vivitar Series 1 105mm f2.5 Macro

Just a heads up (I am not the seller, nor am I in any way affiliated with the seller), there's a Vivitar Series 1 105 f2.5 Macro (K-mount) currently on ebay. What's it worth? Sounds tempting going by the entries in the third-party reviews.

I've seen it gone from 250-350, depending on the condition and accessories that came with.

I got mine for $200 couple years ago in mint condition.

Hi,

that lens is very well regarded. It's a solid performer, lacking only AF.

Regarding price, go to the marketplace archive and perform a search (you could also search Kiron or Lester A Dine, they are similar versions of that lens).

This lens is flat out awesome! Noticed one in the for sale forum earlier, I'd be all over it if I didn't already have one.

How much did you pay for it? If you don't mind me asking.

Price has gone up lately but what you've paid seems to be fair compared to the average price for last 6 months or so. You will like it, I'm sure. It's very sharp and has really smooth bokeh.

I'd imagine that without the glut of used lenses from the Canon/Nikon multitudes, Pentax and Pentax-mount lenses are in much shorter supply on the used market. Therefore, you'd expect the good one's to fetch a high(er) price.

That's the problem... Pentax should really come out with a FF and i bet many from Canikon will jump back to Pentax FF.. LOL!!

Soon, soon....
