Pentax 50-200mm Zoom Lens f/4.0-f/32

AS in another thread this lens is on sale at Circuit City. Is it a good lens and is it worth $186? I am going to go ahead and purchase it I believe and if it gets a thumbs down I can always return it for a full refund.

Sometimnes the serah works for me and most of the time it doesn't. Something about the minimum characters. Thanks for the response. Looks like a year ago the verage price was less. Looks like not shuch a hot deal after all, especially with the reviews.

cajuncutter, i've had the same problem with the search before, when searching for 50mm 1.4, no results, but that error message you stated above, incredibly frustrating!

Don't know what else is in your bag, but the 50-200 is a great compliment to the kit lens (18-55). I've taken some nice shots with it, and it makes a nice portrait lens if you've got enough light. For the money, I don't think you'll go wrong.

Worth every penny at $186 - really, it is. Just don't expect really fast low-light performance as you shouldn't for a lens that cost that much and is full auto. Great images though, again, relative to the cost. I own one and enjoy using it in situations where it shines.

I like mine, but it only cost me $165 after rebate :-) Light and compact, and good IQ.

I like my DA 50-200mm. Obviously not a great low light performer because of the min f4.0-5.6, but if you have enough light I like it a lot!
