I own the FA 35/2 and like Monochrome, would be loath to part with it. It is a great lens.

The questions I would pose to the OP are:
  • Is 43mm wide enough?
  • How much are you willing to spend?
  • Do you like exceptional build quality?
Current pricing is pretty high for the FA 35/2 and that makes the FA 43 all the more tempting, based on build if nothing else. For me, if I were considering one of these two lenses and a great deal on a FA 43 came up...no question...my money would be on the Limited. Unless, of course, I did not have the money.

I have both and I like both.
I prefer the FA35 as my walk around lens because of the MFD and the wider view.
They are really as sharp wide open and both are very good step down.
