My $50 score showed up today.

Well... It showed up today, and to my surprise and relief, it was positively pristine. Not a mark anywhere. Here it is mounted to one of my K-x bodies:

And a couple of quick crap test shots just to make sure it works. Straight out of the camera, EXIF should be intact.

So... Yippee!

Cheers,
Bobbo :-)

How did you score that one? Man, I'll buy it for you for double what you paid. You'd get 100% on investment – that's better than any of the current stocks.

Seriously, congratulations! Enjoy your fisheye.

Believe it or not, it was on Craigslist for almost two weeks before I found it. I still can't believe it was still there when I inquired.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I burned up my allotment of good luck I will ever have in my lifetime with that. It's all pretty much downhill from here, I think.

Thing is.. there's never anything like that around here. This was completely a freak occurrence.

Oh yeah - the lady who sold this to me originally took this into the pawn shop & they offered her $4 for it. Four.... Dollars....

Not to burden you with guilt, but I hope it wasn't stolen.

She had other lenses, she was a very sincere lady in her 50s (I'm guessing) and all of her lenses were around the $50 mark. This is the only one of the bunch that was an outstanding deal, though. The rest were run-of-the-mill. So, I highly doubt it was stolen. :-)
