Vivitar 70-210mm lens won't fit K-5

if you follow the link, you will see that the photo there does not show the flange

the reviews there show several nice photos using the lens

Wow, going back a few years. I'm not a good person to comment about doing things "wrong". I've been known to hold lenses of other brands up to the body among other experiments with with garage sale lenses. I still have this lens but, I haven't mounted it in a few years. I remember having fun using the tubes and shooting bugs and stuff handheld with this lens because it was easy to slide the zoom in order to bring things somewhat into focus and I could gently rock back and forth until I got it fine-tuned. But, remember, doing things "right" isn't necessarily my style.So, YMMV
