Is this order going to be a scam?

Pentax SMCP-FA 43mm f/1.9 Lens, Black 20180

They got the 43 Limited at the old price of $570...but it is out of stock. Will I just be spinning my wheels ordering one? Or do you think I will get it at that price? Have checked around, lots of places are out of stock. Must have been a run on them.

Thanks

Adorama is as legit as it gets, if you purchase something at a certain price even out of stock, I am sure they will honor it

The Limited lenses are made in batches afaik so sometimes you have to wait a little bit for stock (usually not too long). That or they just sold out their shipment, or both

I fully agree with Deimos - Adorama and BH are great stores and really cares about their customers.
Also, if I am not wrong the price for FA43 did not increase.

I didn't think the price of any of the FA Limiteds (think 31, 43, and 77) went up. If that's true then this is the "new" price.

The screw drive lenses did not increase in price and some are out of stock. In contrast, the DA SDM and DC lenses have all skyrocketed in price. Does this possibly mean that future K-mount Pentax cameras will not support screw drive?

It probably means that all future pentax lenses will be screw driven.

The DA Limiteds went up.
I was originally planning to buy a DA 70 later this year,
but ordered one from Amazon at the old price on April Fool's Day.

Is the price of the FA 31 going up? It looks like Amazon and Abes of Maine are selling it for 1200, although B and H and Adorama still have it for 980. Not sure if this is indicating a price rise for the 31 limited or not.

I think the SDM lenses went up to pay for all the returns.

SDM users should start charging Pentax rent when the send those things in for repair.
