Your choices are reeeeaaaally limited. Learn to love Sigma.

But remember. Only buying an M9 and every Zeiss lens ever made will make you a true photographer. Hop to it!

I am sure that many people love and adore their Pentax lenses.
Personally I shot my FA 50 in the face (I hate it that much) and married my DA 50-135, we had the DA 16-50 as our first child, she's growing up so fast. I'm so happy to have met them all.

That is true, throwing everything under one batch might have been a mistake.
I had noticed the DA*50-135 before. I actually quite like its picture.

I am sorry, causey, if I offended you. I don't want to argue, I really am asking an honest question.

Out of interest, which lens was it you used and didn't like?

Best thing to do is to buy a few tens of thousands of K5's, K-01's, Kr's, etc. No, buying hundreds of thousands would be better. Make it look like there's huge demand for K-mount gear. Then Sigma, Tamron, Tokina, Zeiss, Cosina et al might be encouraged to make more K-mount AF primes. Have fun!

the 35 2.4 is actually damn impressive for the price. it actually makes it hard to justify the move to the FA35
The DA 35 f2.4 works really, really well ...

I've the Sigma 30mm, bought it over the FA31 not because i don't like the FA31, much rather have that lens but the price difference between the two is really great so settled for Sigma for the moment.
I like the OOF blur from it, it's really smooth but the contrast, colours and resolution (centre is good but the borders...) are not super.

I've been eying the Sigma 85mm which looks to be a really good performer but can't decide to get that one or the FA77.

For 35mm you probably will like the DA35 f/2.4 for 50mm there is just so much choice...

I own the Sigma 50 f1.4. It is big and costs more than FA50 1.4.
However, it is very sharp from f1.4 to 4.0.
The pictures from Sigma 50 f1.4 are bright (more like Nikon) and not as contrasty as Pentax prime. It has a nice bokeh. I use it primarily for portrait when i need AF.

Otherwise, i use FA31 Ltd 98% of the time i use my K5.
Enjoy!

Thanks for the opinions!

Bestzoom, could you possibly post or send me a few of your favorite FA31 pictures? And possibly throw in a few from the Sigma 50 f1.4 as well?
