I'm saving up now! Actually I have an old tamron 80-200 f2.8 MF sp adaptall that I really like but auto focus would be nice sometimes (my eyes aren't what they used to be)

I'm glad it's out.

Has anyone actually just ordered it? I'm putting some glass up for sale asap.

Damnit. I spend 900+ for my sigma 70-200mm which has a slight front focusing problem and then this comes out. Should I sell it buy the tamron and make a profit?
ABSOLUTELY, with out question. But If I were you I would wait on the Tamron 70-200, there are a couple (a couple, not a hundred) of surprises in about 230 hours from now.

I will be calling them first thing in the morning to check availability. It is not on B&H or Beach Camera yet.

BJ,

I called Adorama - it is not in stock. Maybe in a couple of weeks I was told.

Stay loaded and finger on the trigger - they are going to be sold out within minutes of releasing this one, I am sure. Too many have been waiting for this one for too long.

My $699 are already aside....

Dont the folks at Adorama check this forum out often? Maybe we can get a group buy in and get a discounted rate, I will make inquiries tomorrow.
