Need Adapter help for macro lens :)

I just won a Tamron 90mm f2.5 Macro SP Adaptall 2 lens in an auction. I read really good reviews on it, I know it's 1:2 while the newer f2.8 version is 1:1. So I need help with 2 things.

1. What adapter/adapters do I need to get this lens to fit on my K10D
2. What Tubes do I need to get this lens @ 1:1

Thanks in advance, OZ

keep your eye on ebay. the ET for this lens shows up quite a bit without the lens..
you'll also need an adaptall PK or PKA mount. the PK mount will work fine but you'll need to use it manually..

tradidtionally the extension tubes have been sold in a set of 3. The set I have consists of a 12mm, a 20mm, and a 36mm tube. (I have a Kenko set). They can be used individually or stacked. This gives you choices depending on how far you want to go. You will also occasionally see a bellows system on EBAY. On some of the camera bodies they don't fit well, no because of the lens mount but because there isn't external clearance. The addition of a short tube on the back of the bellows solves the clearence issue.

the real problem with macro photograhy on the K10 that I have not resolved is the fact that the K10 won't support the Pentax ring lights, and available light macro photography is a real problem because you light goes away along with your depth of field as you 'get closer'.

Look at ebay item number 260201344743 - this is the exact adapter you need to make this lens function as a A series lens (auto aperture). Auto aperture also gives you the ability to use P-TTL flash, rather important in macro photography.

There is also a K version of this adapter, without the advantages of the A series adapter.

The A version should have P/KA clearly stamped on the adapter. It should also have electrical contacts - The P/K version does not have one.

This lens can also be used on other SLRs with the appropriate Adaptall - 2 mount.
