Cheap prime with autofocus?? Help

So my 6 year old daughter got my old k100d but need a lens. The problem is that she cannot use a zoom lens.
So I look for an extremely cheap AF prime. And yes I know the F50 F1,7 is considered cheap as wells as the new 35, but since the budget is nonexsistence, something like the zoom lenses with autofocus you get thrown at you at eBay, is needed. I dont care about quality or f-numbers. But autofocus is everything.
Do any of you knowable people know of a thirdparty or original pentax lens which meets the above standards???

why not a good p&s camera instead of a heavy dslr.
She is 6, after all.

Cheap and autofocus do not go together! A bit of tape round the zoom on the kit lens (set to 28mm) should do the trick

Excellent suggestion. Gaffers tape should work a treat. But why not just not worry about where its zoomed to at this stage?

I'd also just stick to the kit lens if you don't want to fork out the funds for the cheap DA 35/2.4
The kit lens may be a zoom, but who says you have to zoom? Just point and shoot - its AF is quite fast too...

Excellent suggestions above. I'm a cheap bastard with a zillion lenses but only one is an AF prime while a dozen are AF zooms, some VERY cheap. Are many more cheap AF zooms than AF primes available used. I too will recommend taping the kit.lens to a specific focal length. Another option would be to buy an ultrawide with DOF so thick that AF isn't needed -- but UWAs aren't cheap either. So you'll do best to buy a roll of gaffer's tape. Cheers!

The 40mm XS may be the only cheap new solution at present, but $249 is relative.

Thanks for the suggestions

For the time being she uses my 18-55, I just hoped someone knew a secret AF prime, I didn't know of.

My daughter has been using a PS but just really likes the viewfinder and feel of and SLR (like father, like daughter)
