70 Limited Lens Cap question

I've got a 70 Limited incoming (used ) and it is sans cap. Are there any suitable alternatives to the $30 cap offered by Pentax?

NOt sure but the outside diameter of the lens where the cap slips on is 45mm.
When I measure the inside of the cap it is 46mm when pressing hard but it has flocking so that provides the hold.
Maybe a 45mm plastic or rubber cap of some sort would work?

Get the original, it is very nice. I would buy one for 30 in a second if I lost mine.

Trying to avoid buying new Pentax branded items right now. I have found it for less than MSRP though

Thanks for the #s, I'll probably try an inexpensive plastic one as you suggested until later.

Ok, a 49mm cap works if you take off the hood. Good luck.

I used for a while a 49-->28mm step down ring and a 28mm pinch cap for a DA40 style hood. On close testing it did vignette just a little wide open; but it is an inexpensive and compact solution.
