Just got my FA77mm!

Just got my new glass! Can't wait to actually use it, just shot a few pictures of my desk, and I cannot believe how crisp and clear it is!

Just had to share my love of lenses!

I'm so surprised.... I haven't shot any people with it yet...which is why I bought it. But I just shot some photos of random objects around the house and I can't believe how different it renders things compared to other lenses in my collection. Even compared to my DA 40mm limited and my DA*16-50mm I am baffled.... I knew it was a better lens than all my M series glass (which is the bulk of my collection). But the colors are just so much more vivid. The depth of field is fantastic. Sharpness in the details is great...

Only annoyance is that when I have a filter mounted the lens cap doesn't want to stay on snugly... the hood moves too much and then the filter pushes the cap up enough that it feels too loose for comfort.

That focus ring is so nice... so smooth and just a pleasure to touch... The whole lens, it just screams quality. I knew it was good and I had myself hyped up...and usually I'm disappointed... not now. I'm gonna try to convince the wife to go out for a photo walk tomorrow....

I am also a fairly new member to the 77mm club and very happy with it as well. I don't know why but I'm surprised that it is awesome as a street lens, had a lot of fun with it on its first day out!

I usually keep the 43mm on my K-5 but I think my favorite shot with my limited lenses is one I took with the 77mm.

In February, I drove 100 miles to take pictures of Pomme de Terre Lake in Hickory County, MO. When I was ten or so, I took my best picture with my dinky little blue Fisher Price camera from this part of the lake so it seemed a great place to go use all of my lenses and a good camera. Next time, I'll take a roll of film and my ME Super and see how the 77 does full frame.
