I have 50 Fifties. Of those, 5 would be easy to part with (but hard to sell): three M50/2s, a SuperTak 55/2, and an EL-Nikkor 50/4. A couple others would be not *too* hard to do without, but again some might be hard to sell: the Yashica DSB 50/1.9 and the Meyer Domiplan 50/2.8 get no respect. And do I choose between the Meyer Oreston 50/1.8 whose pin is glued down for PK use, or its twin the Pentacon Electric 50/1.8 that still works in auto on M42 cams? And whether those go or not, I'd be looking for Nikkor and OM 50/1.4s, and maybe some 55/1.2 or 58/1.2; and if I dumped the Sears-Cosina 50/2, I'd want its 50/1.7 kin. Decisions decisions decisions...
i'd love to see all those lens in my room

I'm making myself write the following 200x as punishment:

"I will never sell my Porst MC 55mm ƒ1:1.2 again."

I sold it a few months ago, thinking I wouldn't miss it at all because I don't need it. WRONG! Missed it like crazy. I still don't need it off course, but the lens is so much fun. So, I bought another copy from Ebay: very bad copy, and after 3 pictures the focusring got stuck and never loosened up again. Returned it and bought another one from another seller, this copy actually looks much better then the previous one, but I paid a lot less! So I guess my luck returned. Hopefully it will arrive soon.

So, a real learning moment for me!

Same will go for my Pentax DA 10-17: Don't need it, and it's not even very good, but it's lots of fun. Definitely a keeper.

You'll have to wait a couple weeks. That's how long it will take me to return to my home base and get organized enough for a Fifties shoot. I may cheat a little and include a 60mm also. Close enough, eh?

You can include everything you want (that is related to photos :P )

In fact, i juste really like pictures of gear : it's always shiny, full of glint, etc ... I'm a kind of Magpie for that : i love all gear that shine

I'm more practical than Rico and others since the WR kit lens makes my list.

my list although I'm not really attached to lenses as much as I'm attached to taking photos. I plan on having a 4 lens travel kit (15/43(not yet)/DFA100WR/WRkit) and I doubt I'll sell any of those but things change I guess.
DA15 - Because there isn't another wide lens that combines so much awesomeness into such a small package. Part of my travel kit.
gap
M/A 50/1.7 - At one point I WILL sell 2 of the 3 that I have but this is an outstanding lens and focal length.
DFA 100WR - it's paid for but not received and I plan on this being in my travel kit - I'm optimistic that I'll love it.
WR kit lens - nobody mentions this but it's not that bad and it's important to me to be able to to take photos in moderately bad weather. no alternatives currently for the price/weight.
M135/3.5 - a great lens for candids on the street and too cheap to sell
gap
K35/3.5 - a frustrating lens since it's so good but it's too close to the fast fifties and the likely FA43 that is next up on my buying list. I don't think I'll use it enough to justify keeping.
gap
everything else - I plan on selling my takumars because screwmount doesn't work well with my style. the only one that I'll miss is the Tak105 but I'll have a DFA100 and M135 at that length. I'll take my K24 out some more but I haven't been dazzled by it. The DA40 will get replaced by the FA43 at some point.

I am ready to sell any lens I own. typically you get some major upgrades or new features every 10 years or so.
In recent years lens coatings improved a lot, an APS-C line up makes more sense than older Pentax lenses,... we appreciate AF these days...digital sensors are much more susceptible to optical errors, we did not really see during film days...
I do keep an Pentax MX with M40 lens, but just as a collectible.
