I bought my copy for $350, IIRC. It's a great lens. 400 is probably a good starting point.

I'm surprised with some web stores because they are selling the old and new 100mm macro for almost the same price (like 8euro difference). I think the old version should be much cheaper than the new one, simply because.. well, there is a new one and its WR.

I just got one for 300.00, I've seen them range between 250 - 480 depends on the day on fleabay,
