Used FA 43mm lens barrel wobble - is it normal?

I managed to get a used FA 43mm from ebay recently, but I noticed that the lens barrel and aperture ring does wobble quite a bit.

Is it normal?

I've tried shaking the lens a bit, and nothing seems to sound loose inside. Also, everything looks tightly screwed, nothing looks loose on the outside. It also performs well, AF is good and doesn't seem to have any problems with the IQ.

I've owned 2 copies of this lens. It should not wobble at all.

Doesn't sound good to me. At the very least I'd get it fixed as a bad wobble could mean it will fall apart eventually.

Maybe 'wobble' would be exaggerating - it's more of a rattle.

Can it be just that the lens barrel has a little bit of play? Because it only rattles a bit if I hold the hood and move it around.

FA43 and FA77 have similar constructions and both should be solid and tightly constructed.

Mine has the slightest bit of rattle too. Not enough to be concerned with for me.

i have the slightest play in the aperture ring. lens barrel has no play whatsoever. focus ring makes the usual faint chatter of gears(bearings) when turning, no rattle of any sort.
i would be concerned based on what you describe. good luck.

Your guys' 43mm doesn't wobble even just slightly? Mine wobbles maybe 1/50th of a mm (purely an estimate), and I can hear it if I put my ear up to it. I can't imagine this having any effect on IQ, but I guess if it gets worse I should get it checked out.
