Tamron Adapt-A-Matic

Hi All,

Today I obtained a Tamron-A-Matic adapter in its own case.On the rear side it has the following engraving P-CS as well as Made in Japan and USA Pat. No. 3500735. What does it fit as on the rear side it is 42mm male, but the front would be a removeable collar around 67mm diameter without measuring it. I can run a set of verniers over it if required, but they are ouside in my toolbox and it is about ten degrees celsius at 1930hrs. Bees don't fly under fifteen degrees celsius and I agree with them!

Practika-Pentax is what the wiki had on it. It should fit to a Tamron lens from early on... see and look at the family tree.

The name sound like a variation of Adapt-a-matic, and I think that's what it will fit. has a list of them.

I have a 300/5.6, it's decent. They seem to mostly come with M42 mounts already though. (And your adapter is probably also for M42.)

I could take pictures of the mount tonight, maybe.

Good Morning from Australia,

Thanks for that.
Yes, it is an M42 mount on the male, ie., camera side.
