Where to get Sigma 17-70 lens hood?

I just won an ebay bid on a supposedly brand new Sigma 17-70mm 2.8-4.5 non OS non HSM version .. The seller indicated in the ad the lens hood came with it but after I won he said it doesn't have a lens hood!!!

I don't know what happened.. But does anyone know where to get a matching hood for this 72mm filter size lens?

I have that exact lens and I can say for at fact that it most definitely DID come with a lens hood! Not that that answers your question...
The lens hood part number is: 669N22
So you could try and google that.

I really hope the lens IS brand new. How could they have lost the hood? So disappointing. ;(

Thanks for the part number!

This may be the obvious answer but I'll say it anyway. Contact Sigma, I am sure they can hook you up...

They seem to only have a dealer in Australia. Once I receive the package I'll give them a try.. Thanks.

You might try Robin Kanta's Filters, Robin Kanta Photographic. Lens hoods, Front & Rear Caps, and Body Caps He has a whole slew of metal, plastic, or rubber hoods, in addition to literally hundreds of filters.

For example, he sells a rubber "Hoya Multi Hood" that you can set at three lengths. This would be perfect for a zoom like your 17-70, even better than the original fixed-length hood. The 72mm is only $14.84.

Do you remember if there was a lens case? Probably not?

Sigma sells the hoods and caps directly from their site. Go to the accessories link and choose hoods, then find your matching hood and click purchase (don't select find retailer, select the buy or purchase option)...

I doubt they ship to Australia

There's no sigma corporation in Australia either, only a dealer
