Yes, its an adapter. He moved from P to N!
A friend of mine said something that freaked me out : he said that this dust might be coming from the lens itself!
If something inside the lens is causing the dust, then thats bad! Also, cleaning a pentax lens here will be at least 200 dollars!
Now i'm not sure if its such a great deal! :[

Never used one, but I did have a chance to hold a camera with one mounted on it, and I found it VERY heavy.
Good luck with your purchase

That doesn't look like typical dust, it almost looks like the paint chips from the lens exterior coating.
The Sigmas used to have a coating that would eventually flake off, I hadn't hear that anyone had gotten it inside the lens before..
If it is the coating then it may continue to accumulate.
If the cleaning will cost that much it is not such a bargain, I don't think.

I bought one of those last year for around the $800 mark. Mine is dust-free, but I'm satisfied it's a very good lens. If yours is $460 + a cleaning charge, I reckon you're still in front. I'd recommend buying it, and processing any defects caused by internal dust, until you can afford to have it serviced.

Regards

Hey guys!
I've been talking to the seller, and he gave me two options : either he takes it to a store and gets it checked or he sells it to me for something like 200 bucks.
What do yous guys think?

Depending on the age and s/n of the lens it may still be under warranty.

Yep, its the first version!
Anyway, the seller told me he will call a store here and we'll see what they'll say...either he's going to clean the lens and sell or sell the lens at something like 200 bucks

Hey guys!
Sorry for bumping the thread, but my Sigma 70-200 2.8 APO EX will be arriving monday (the seller send it in to clean).
Can you guys provide me some full resolution samples using this lens at a couple of focal lengths?
I would like to test it to see if i got a good copy. Thanks!
