I have actually sold some lenses and invested heavily in a M43 kit with Two Panasonic bodies and 4 lenses.
What bodies Gary? I have GH2's on my list of bodies to get to do video work with.

I was going to buy the DA * 16-50 and 50-135 this month. Instead I am doing nothing, and contemplating a switch to a Nikon D7000 instead of purchasing a K-5 or its replacement this fall.

I bought a new DA 70 Ltd from Amazon on April 1, but at the "old" price of $550.
If it hadn't been for the price increase, I would have delayed that purchase.

Hi Joe,
I got the G3 and GH2 Both are great. Got the GH2 and 14-140 on a open box deal from Samys for $799. I am really impressed with the IQ so far. Not too much into video but plan to get into it some since I have the GH2.

For some reason, Amazon's price on the DA 55-300 dropped from $430 to $370 for 2 days. I decided to grab it at the $370 price (barely) but that I wasn't going to buy it at $430. I don't know what caused the little drop, but it's what caused me to buy a new DA lens. Otherwise I wouldn't have. And I'm trying to fill up my collection with used lenses, because the current prices are just too high. I really want some limited primes, but I can't afford them at their current prices.

Would you buy any lens after a salary increase?
Come on, your question is not really getting anywhere. Pentax makes the price, the market pays the price. Who cares how many lenses Pentax sells other than Pentax? Do you think you can show Pentax that the new prices are not fair?
There were a lot of bargains before the price hike - there still are if you look careful enough.

I plan on buying no lenses until I decide which full format or medium format camera I will buy. It's looking like a D800e at this point, which means I will be buying several lenses at the same time, unless a Pentax FF or D645 with live view is announced soon.

Not at a ridiculous price. Do you go out on pay day and spend money like a drunken sailor? Plus, Pentax claims it isn't a price increase as per Ned's blog comments. The claim it is an MSRP enforcement via unilateral pricing. The workers at the factory in Vietnam didn't get a price. The SDM issues on the DA* 16-50mm or 50-135mm haven't been addressed nor the warranty increased.

Outstanding! Contact Ned and let him know that you will voluntarily pay double for all new Pentax lenses in the future.

Prices at online retailers look like the also went up last week. I had been eyeing the 35 limited at prodigital2000 and was disappointed that it went up. I noticed that a retailer in Hong Kong still had it at the pre-increase price, so I ordered right away. Prices at that outfit have now gone up as well. Then I noticed KEH had a used one for about $400. Oh well.
