500 f5.6 lens for The Aussies

I was in Melbourne for work and came across Michaels Camera Store.

They have a 500 f5.6 PK nount lens for $aud1799. I think it was a manual lens only.

Tamron? Seems horribly overpriced, the 500/4.5 doesn't go for that much.

Damn ... the Bigma is cheaper than that still.

Sorry, it is a Pentax Telephoto lenses and I thought it was 5.6., and about 1m in length
Only had a look through the window as I was on my way to a meeting.
