AFAIK such can be found, but only for very very small formats. Of course, if you get a 10mm f/1 fisheye and defish it, you'll be in the neighborhood.

I've never had a fisheye and would like to try one out. The new(old) 8mm Samyang sounds interesting, or perhaps the 10-17.

My most coveted lens is the DA50-135, which i also have (bought when it was much cheaper than it is today) Whenever it gets on the body, magic happens. (Just got through with a 16 picture, one month show in a wine shop. 3 of the 4 pictures that sold were from the 50-135)

I'm interested in fisheyes. I am into this Pentax 10-17 or Samyang 8mm, but I am not sure if I jump on it even if I find a bargain. I am afraid I might lose my interest after some time.

Another lens of my likes is the 50mm f/4 macro.

Said who? Full frame, faster, sharp from wide open, 25.5 degrees more field of view, this is a better lens than the DA 21. The FA 20/2.8 is the widest Full frame AF lens ever made by Pentax. Finding one though, is quite difficult.
Plenty of people here praise the DA21, but fewer even mention the FA20. The reviews on this site give the edge to the DA21: Pentax-DA 21mm F3.2 Review - Introduction - PentaxForums.com versus: Pentax-FA 20mm F2.8 - Review - PentaxForums.com but not by much.

Given the choice, I bought the FA20 for pretty much the same reasons you've outlined, and I've been pretty pleased with the results, although I have to say the lens hood for the FA20 makes it a bulky proposition. Although it looks OK to me on my K-5, I have to admit that, by contrast, the DA21 is a model of compactness. Nonetheless, you're preaching to the choir on the virtues of the FA20, as far as I'm concerned, but I was talking about reputation, not objectivity.

I think you meant 2.55 degrees more field of view, by the way.

And I'd still like the Zeiss 21, too...

Actually, no I compared the fov of the FA20 on full frame to the fov the DA21 achieves on APS-C.

Lens Focal Length and Field of View
Aha! I wasn't thinking that way, obviously. Well, we'll just have to wait and see on that score, although I could just get my K2 out and try the FA20 on it, in the meantime. Come to think of it, its FOV on the K2 is slightly wider than my DA14's on the K-5, so I reckon I know what it'll look like.

I think I want the Zeiss 21 even more, now.

DA* 200mm f2.8, though TBH if Zeiss and Voigtlander lenses were still available in K mount I'd be tempted to sell most of my Pentax lenses and opt for them instead. I'd keep a couple of autofocus lenses for general walkaround stuff but for all the more considered things, manual focus is fine and often much better imho.

My covet list keeps changing as I succumb to LBA and acquire lenses I have pined for. Recently got DA 70, DFA 100 WR and DA 55-300. Wallet a lot lighter now. Next obsession is probably FA 31, like everyone else it seems, but wow that sure is pricey-- would easily be my most expensive lens and may not be really worth it given that I already have FA 35. This thread is not about trying to justify irrational or impractical thoughts, and I can covet the beauty of the FA 31 all I want to...

Heh, I don't know why you people west of the Atlantic complain about lens prices. You can get a FA 31 for less than what I just paid for a DA 15...
