If You Had To Pick One Lens You're Coveting Right Now?

What would you pick?

I'm rather coveting a Vivitar 70-150mm but so far I can't find a cheap Pentax copy locally and by the time you add shipping most of the time it just gets too pricey for me to buy one online. Before this I'd have probably said the Pentax 55-300 but I've got both the Tamron and the Sigma lenses for that range now and the 55-300 is looking more and more like a big bit of indulgence so I'm not really yearning quite so hard for one though eventually I may go there I suppose if I can find one used when I get a K5 or similar finally. Right now that's about all that's setting my LBA, such as it is off. If I can snag one locally? I'm probably going to pop for it though. Looks like a nice little lens for portraits and such...

You?

Zeiss Distagon T* 3,5/18

too bad though, I don't shoot nikon. if I did, id be all over it, even at that price. if they made it in m42 mount, that and my zeiss 50mm 1,4 would be the only two lenses id ever need for 35mm.

It's a real toss-up for me, I really love the DA55/1.4, But..... must say, FA31/1.8....Mmmmmm. Its bristling with "primey" goodness.

Anything in the 75-105 prime range. Just found a vivitar 85-205, so we'll see if I like that 85-105 range with that.

Things that WERE, but are no more since I've (very) recently acquired:
- Just found a reasonably priced industar 50 WITH HOOD!!!
- da35mm F2.4 (love this lens - it only leaves my k200 to give under used lenses a shot)
- k mount 50 F1.4 - Sears branded. See next listing for opinions
- Super Multi coated tak 50 F1.4 - awesome, but not as great as i expected. I like my M50 F1.7 just as much?
- 18-55 WR

The new 560mm tele.

After I recently got a bit crazy and bought the DA 300 instead of saving the money till the new lensed are out, I'll probably have to wait a while before going for any of the new glass though.

Thankfully my LBA is in remission at the moment (just got the 16-50 and 50-135 couple as a secondhand bundle).
I've been thinking either a lensbaby or fisheye to goof around with. But it can wait until there's a good one in the local classified ads.

Regards,
--Anders.

DA35 Macro.

Runners-up would be FA31 Ltd, DA* 60-250, and the elusive K 28mm f/2.

I already have most of Pentax's jewels, in fact I might offload a couple
I would love to replace my Sigma zooms with their DA* equivalents to give me more wet weather options. 16-50 is easy; the dilemma is 50-135 or 60-250....
