this is a tough call, the one that might get the most use would be the newly announced 550mmF5.6 or what ever t turns out to be. If you consider rounding out my K mount prime lens kit the K200/2.5 is definitely there.

The ultimate prime.....
Although you already have it. Coveting a second one?

And yes, it's the ultimate prime ... if you know how to use it.

*sigh*, guess I have to revise my list - just ordered the DA 15 Ltd and the DFA 100 WR.

So, DA 70 Ltd next, then.

Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 21/2.8 in ZK mount, preferably for about $800.00, but probably not.

Until then, I have the FA20/2.8 which is a good substitute and has AF, if not the reputation of the DA21/3.2 Limited.

Assuming I have to buy the lens: My next purchase is the Sigma 50-500 OS. I will be picking it up this week. It's the best combination of reach, IQ, versatility, and price for my purposes.

But, if someone's giving away a free lens: I'd be greedy and step up to the Sigma 200-500 2.8. 1000mm at 5.6 with TC! It's not available in k-mount so I'd have to buy a body to go with it.

Edit: or, if it's free, I forgot about this $185k "lens" http://planewave.com/index.php?page=1&id0=0&id=5.

DA* 55 for sure...

I really should post the FA* 24mm for sale so that I can cross-grade...

Definitely coveting the 10-17 fish-eye. Saving for a 70-200mm f/2.8 though because 80% of what I shoot is hockey. But that 10-17 will be mine someday...

Said who? Full frame, faster, sharp from wide open, 25.5 degrees more field of view, this is a better lens than the DA 21. The FA 20/2.8 is the widest Full frame AF lens ever made by Pentax. Finding one though, is quite difficult.

Okay, revising my list because LBA got the best of me and I just purchased the 77. I guess this leaves the 31 as what I am coveting most. I will wait to purchase until full frame (I have decided to think positively on that) is available. In fact, I don't believe that I will purchase another lens until full frame, but once it is here I will have a whole new list to covet.

The M35/1.4.

Apparently a couple were sold, but there is no proof. Still I want one!

Otherwise I’d settle for the K20/1.4AL or K8.4/2.8 Fish/Bird’s-Eye prototypes!
