First shots with Pentax-M 85mm f/2

I got today Pentax-M 85mm f/2 lens (in very used, but 100% functional condition), so I just took few photos with it at f/2. This baby is razor sharp pn my K-5. It does suffer a little bit from PF at f/2, but that's only visible when pixel-peeping. Here are a couple of flower shots at f/2. By the way, lens has a lot of scratches on the front glass, but it dosn't affect images in any way.

Cheers,
Dan

I have one too! It's also "very used" some scratches on the front glass but it doesn't affect image quality. I love my M85, It's a very hard lens to use, but once you nail a shot, there's just magic (:

Actually, I find me M85 to be very easy to focus on K-5. I often use LV magnification for manual focusing and it works great.

I'm not really talking about focusing (: Almost anyone who knows what they're doing can focus. I'm talking about nailing that "shot" that wows you. It's hard to explain hahaha. (Don't mind me I'm a lil crazy tonight)

Don't worry. I have been looking for that "special shot" for a decade and never found it. Thanks god I went into science and not into photography. My creative photography talent is near zero, so I would probably be starving as a pro photographer.

Don't worry, I recently used my M 85mm for a few shots on an MX with Portra 400 and it performs even better on film than it does on digital, not to mention being a more useful focal length.

It's a neat lens alright.
Not surprised to hear it is better on film.
All that PF at f/2 is a bit of a handicap as the halo degrades the sharpness that is undoubtedly there
