Which of the awaited lenses are you most anxious to buy next?

As we are expecting an updated lens roadmap and announcements regarding availability of the lenses already on the existing map, which one lens are you most anxious to buy next?

I haven't included any speculative lenses.

Unfortunately, what I really want is longer than anything on that list, and at least 1 full stop (maybe 2) faster than the loingest lens you have at that focal length

While it is fine to push out the consumer lenses, we need a few more serious ones as well

I voted for the 55-300, but on the assumption (or rather, the hope) that it will be a better lens than the Sigma/Tamron 70-300's. I really wish there were more mid-range long zooms.

Well, the FA*300 f2.8 and FA*600 f4.0 are both still available to order.

The eBay store Matsuiyastore may even have both lenses. They are a reliable vendor. Some members have bought from them.

First lens on my hit-list is the 50-135mm. However, there's not much on the road-map beyond that that I'm drooling over.

Like Lowell, I'm hoping for something longer. I'd buy a weather-sealed DA* 500 f/4.0 IF SDM or DA* 135-400mm f/4.0 IF SMD lens if one was ever made. Until then, my FA* 400mm will hold me over.

EDIT: That's not to say the DA* 200mm isn't a possibility down the road

You missed the DA 35mm SDM (there is one other than the macro in the roadmap)?

I really want a solid long range wildlife lens, and it isn't on that list, so I have to vote for nothing.

I voted for the 55/1.4. I'd love to have a fast weatherproof prime, and a new portrait lens.

If the 17-70 performs as well as my 16-45 with a price at $600 or lower, I'll be all over it. Also, I read somewhere that at one time Pentax stated SDM, not * means weathersealed in the future, then I might even pay a bit more. It would replace my 16-45 and Tam 28-75.

Definitely the 55/1.4...not as interested in the longer range glass. I seem to take most of my photos between the 50-110 range, but haven't gotten around to picking up the DA*50-135 (probably because I'll buy it as soon as I touch it! ).

60-250. If its anything like the L 70 -200 f4 i'll take it. Especially since on the k10 it becomes the more expensive IS version.

I voted by mistake. I'm anxious to buy no lens. I'd like to own the 60-250, though, because I have the wide focal length covered, primes don't do much for me, and it would be an improvement over the 50-200 at least in speed, and hopefully IQ - though I like the 50-200.
