B&H is on top of things today (thanks in part to our partnership with them)- they already have the pre-order link live for the new 50mm F1.8.

Pentax smc DA 50mm f/1.8 Lens DA50F1.8 B&H Photo Video

The price will be $249. A bit higher than I had personally expected, but still fine considering the fact that they actually tried to make the optics good in this lens, and that the 35mm F2.4 didn't disappoint either.

Look at the last line of the Product Highlights for this lens on the B&H Site.

I wouldn't get too excited, just means it will work on film bodies.

It will probabaly be a bit less expensive if it is anounced before the recent price increase.

I agree with you Adam - I was expecting the same $219 list as when the 35mm was announced. Still, I expect this will be a fine piece of glass - so much so that I just preordered one via your link. Thanks for making it so convenient!

I don't know. It does say full frame digital sensors. I see B&H went and put that distinction for the FA lenses too. That is new to me. I agree with Chris. It is interesting.
