Would you keep your A50/2...

...if you've since gotten the 43 Ltd?

I've been hanging on to it thinking that it would be good to use with my reversing ring (I don't have to worry about scratching the back glass on the 43), but I also have a cheap 28 that I could use for that purpose, as well. I've got a set of extension tubes on the way, also for up-close work, which I could use on my 43 and not worry about scratching the glass.

I'm in the process of going through my stuff and weeding out anything I don't need. To have both the 50 and 43 seems a bit redundant. I'm trying to pay off a credit card, so anything I can sell to knock down that balance would be helpful.

Thanks!
Heather

If you want to pay down a balance wouldn't it make more sense to sell the 43 Limited?

I just got the 43 right after Christmas and I like it too much to get rid of it. My CC balance was less than what I paid for it, to begin with. I have put part of the money from the sale of my Tammy 18-250 towards the balance (I used most of the rest of the money to pick up a F70-210 to replace the 18-250), so that knocked it down significantly.

I went on ahead and decided to sell the 50. I posted it on this forum and got $25 for it, which is more than I would've gotten if I had put it up on Fleabay, most likely. In addition to to the lenses, thus far, I've sold a couple of camera bags and some of my books on half.com. Once I actually pay Discover with what I've made so far, my balance should be down to $78 + change. Obviously, it didn't start out as a huge balance to begin with, but it's just been bugging me.

At this point, I think my next lens purchase is going to be the 21, which I will start saving up for once the CC is paid off. I've still got a $100 rebate coming from Pentax for the 43, which I should get sometime in mid February, so that'll make a nice addition to the lens fund.

Once the 70-210 comes, then I've got yet another lens I can dump--a Sigma 28-210/3.5-4.5, which I'll probably put $50 on.

Anyhow, that's my plan.

$25.00 for an A-50 f2.0 Bet it was less then 30.00 shipped. Sounds like a great deal to me. What a bargain.
