These lenses are still available. You can find them and buy them on the old Norwegian Pentax distributors web page: Fovi AS - Forsiden
No, Fovi do not have 16-45 anymore.

By that webpage the FA 31, 43,and 77 Limited are also gone.
Only the silver Limiteds are out of production, not the black ones.

Thats what I call good news. Although I find the silver ones extremely pretty.

yeah the 16-45. I like it. price is not the only factor to consider... there's the constant aperture f4, the pentax color, etc.. also resale value very few third party lenses hold any value when re-selling.
I agree, and I would add that the 16-45 has the lowest distortion at the wide end of any standard zoom. Pentax colour and contrast are a huge deal for me.

The Tamron 17-50mm has had more complaints of BF/FF than any lens I've ever heard of.

also for the jpeg shooters out there.. if you don't mind the processing time, when shooting, you can set the lens correction on in camera and not have to bother fixing it in post.. this corrects nearly all the lenses shortcomings in camera...

The 16-45mm is discontinued. See this thread from Jan 2010;
https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-news-rumors/87678-lenses-discontinued.html

"PENTAX'S JAPANESE site is reporting that four lenses are to be discontinued. The DA 16-45mm f/4ED AL, wide angle zoom, the DA 50-200mm f/4-5.6ED, telephoto lens, DA 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3ED AL [IF], zoom lens and the FA 600mm f/4ED [IF] telephoto lens are all on the site's list to be discontinued."

All of these are gone now. (The 50-200 was replaced by the WR version).

I read a lot of those 17-50 reviews also, so with no focus adjustment on my K100dS, went instead with the Pentax 17-70. That seems like a very good lens, though low light focus is weird on rare occasions . In the common ranges, the 17-70 and 16-45 were close in resolution on Photozone.de. Colors are real good on the 17-70, by the way.
