Another thing you might want to consider is to mount the lens on a body that has a split-image focus screen. The split image will allow you to easily see if you are failing to attain infinity focus or are focusing past infinity. In either case, most lenses can be adjusted (some more easily than others).

Screw Mount lenses and Pop-Up Flash

Just for info, you can use the pop up flash with screw mount lenses. I use M mode and set the shutter speed to 1/90. At ISO 200, I use a guide number of 100. Divide 100 by distance in feet, and set your aperture to that f stop. Give it a try - you may prefer a slightly different guide number.

Pete,

I see that...your pics really help. A previous poster mentioned that the 3rd party adapters are hard to get off, so I'm better off getting the genuine Pentax adapter. What has been your experience?

Thanks!
Heather
Good idea! I don't want to insult the users of 3rd-party adapters, but I would suggest that these only be used with the retention spring removed. It took me over 2 1/2 hours to remove the adapter I got from Adorama. I might also add that that after that first and only use, the mirror surface was littered with metallic debris that apparently originated from the adapter.
