Any Idea What I Just Bought?

No one else was bidding on it so I just went ahead and stepped in at the last second ---> here is a pentax camera in nice shape two lenses and extrasworks great. | eBay

Not a good description, only one photo, and no time to contact the seller- can anyone identify any of this?

Lens on the left looks like a 70-300 (guessing Quantaray), camera is a ZX-something with grip- not sure about the lenses though (I think the hood to the right of them look Tamron, though...), and then I have no clue about the flash.

Doesn't look like anything special to me, but oh well, it was an impulse buy with 50 seconds left till the auction ended.
Now I need to head back to Ebay and find a cheap shelf because the one that I have now is already overflowing with cameras.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EDIT: It came... Here's what there was:
-ZX-L (right on, Swift) with the battery grip, manual, warranty papers (mirror appears stuck, though, I'll have to read through the manual and put in some new batteries later)
-Promaster 5750DX Digital flash
-Promaster 28-105 4-5.6 + caps/hood/filters
-Promaster 70-300 4-5.6 + caps/hood/filters
-Remote control F
-4 rolls of film
-big Promaster case
-a bunch of cleaning things wipes/clothes/ect

Looks like a ZX-L with a Promaster or Tamron 28-80mm plus a Tamron built Quantaray 70-300mm.

Hell of a deal!
Nice work.

Thanks, I probably won't have much use for anything in there, but if everything works, I'll see if some local kid would be interested in borrowing it for a film class, once school starts again.

I have the ZX-7 I enjoy it as much or more than my DL. Why not load the film and take it for a spin?

I will probably shoot a roll or two just to see how it works but I'm not a big fan of AF SLRs- prefer my ME Super with Super Tak 50 1.4.

Thanks for asking, it actually did come today... nothing super-special that I was *hoping* for, though.

Nonetheless, it is a very nice well-maintained kit which looks as if it has had very little use...

I just saw the thread and thought from the pic on ebay it might be a 28-105, and it is. You may be surprised with that one. I recently got one of those and a Tamron branded one (same lens) in two separate auctions. I liked it so much I couldn't bear to resell them, I kept one and gave one to my daughter. I was just really surprised with it, I have had eight photos (out of 8 or 9) taken with it accepted into PPG. I paid about the same 38 for one and 42 for the other (including shipping) and feel it's two of the best lens deals I've gotten.

I'll be sure to play around with it, thanks.
I think I may end up giving the 70-300 to my mom, who has my old ist DS so she can shoot hummingbirds that come to the yard.

I tried several 70-300s before I got a DA55-300, the Promaster was the best of the lot, but I think there is a lot of copy variation.

The 28-105 is IF and 70-300 is LD version.

Took them both outside just a few minutes ago to test them out and so far I like what I'm seeing from both of them... Hmm... maybe I'll end up keeping them...

That is the Promaster 70-300 that I owned, not a bad lens. Have fun with them!
