Craigslist score or BLBA attack

Got lucky last week before heading out of town for work. Checked craigslist briefly before heading out of the office today and what did I find, but an older collection being cleared out, $200 for the set. I emailed to see if it was still available and, finding that it was, headed there straightaway. The bargain lens buying addiction set in quickly. Arrived, inspected the equipment briefly, asked why he was selling the set - went digital and with kids, no time for film SLRs, so a Nikon P&S had replaced it. Most of the kit had traveled around the world with him. All of the glass looked to be in excellent to mint condition, safely hanging out behind filters. All told:

Bodies:
ME Super
ZX-30

Lenses:
Vivitar 70-210/4.5-5.6 Macro
Vivitar 75-260/4.5
Vivitar 2x auto teleconverter
Vivitar 24mm/2.8
SMC-M 50/2
SMC 85/1.8
SMC-M 200/4
SMC-FA 35-80/4-5.6

Some slide copying and enlarging equipment including
Iscorit 1:4.5/75
Iscorit 1:4.5/50
Schneider-Kreuznach 1:5.6/80

Plus a flash, a couple of rolls of film, and various other bits and pieces. He'd even made sure the batteries were fresh and functional in both bodies. Hooray! Now to try them out. The 85 is already a favorite.

The 85/1.8 alone is worth $400.

Great score, now you need to burn and develop some film to see what you really have. Hope the ME is a keeper. Post soon......cliff

M200/4
The enlarging lenses for a bellows macro setup
Everything else

Agreed on the K85/1.8. The 24mm Vivitar isn't bad in brief testing. I can also swap the mount over onto a 21/3.8 Vivitar I've had sitting around with a R-mount on it. Will run a couple of rolls of film to see how the ME body is.

You have done well, grasshopper. It's a good start. The first 100 are always the hardest.

Except for RioRico, where it is the first 1000 that seems to be giving him trouble.
