LBA - DA14 and Tamron 90 Macro

Hi all,

Just got back from a 4-week holiday/honeymoon trip to Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan. On the trip I managed to convinced myself to get a couple of lenses, DA14/2.8 (which I got in HK) and Tamron 90/2.8 Macro (which I got in Japan). I guess when you are on trip, you tend not to worry about your spending.

Anyway, here are some shots from these two lenses:
From Tamron 90/2.8 Macro:

From DA14/2.8:

Oh, did I mention I finally got myself a K10D just before Christmas too?

cheers
Kenny

Hi Kenny. Glad to hear you coming back to Melbourne from the holidays.

That is quite a serious LBA going on there. Sure you experience the beauty of Da 14 now. Hehe

I kind of like the flower shot of Da 14 a lot where the bokeh was surprisingly not too bad

Thanks James. I was surprised by how close I could get to the flower. At one stage, I was so close to the flower that the hood was almost touching the flower.

vizjerei: I got it for about AU$700+ which is about $100 cheaper than getting it in Australia!

cheers
Kenny

Enjoy the Tamron 90mm .... I sure do.

The DA14 looks like a real nice lens as well ... i am after something on a wide side of things.
I only have the kit lens for wide at the moment.

Nice set, Kenny

I, too, really like my DA 14mm. It is quite good at getting close, as you have observed:
