Hello, I have the chance to buy a 2nd hand but used only a handful of times Pentax 50-135. It is described by seller as in "mint condition".The price is £600. Under warranty until November. It can be collected so the condition can be verified before price is paid. Any thoughts on whether this is a reasonable amount to pay would be appreciated, thanks

Not a bad price, but not amazing in my opinion. I'd look to offer £550 for it.

However, I hired this lens from SRS for a 2 week holiday, and it was absolutely fantastic. Easily the best zoom lens I've ever used, and better than a lot of primes!

I got mine brand new for under £600 a while back with an eBay voucher

But a quick check shows you can get them new for £700 on eBay now, and you'll have a full warranty and peace of mind. It's up to you whether that's worth £100. Personally I'd buy new.

You likely won't have a warranty on used equipment, and this is a lens that may benefit from one.
