It isn't released until July at earliest, and that's for Canon. Pentax mount to follow at some point, maybe by end of summer?

Here is a early test on the Sigma blog:

Not what i expected...got it for about two month now, softish, no contrast...not happy... From other hand i'm a beginner in DSLR world-maybe that's the reason Or maybe it need fine tune up and adjustment, i'm going to Marty's Camera in Queens tomorrow, he service my film cameras before and he wouldn't BS any one, if he can't do it he wont touch it...

If you interested you can check my album, almost every think made with 18-250mm except for a couple shots from a toy Cannon

PS. I still believe it's a great glass and i'll worked out what the problem is! lol

My fingers are still xx'd for the DA ~18-200, coming later this year according to their roadmap. Not a peep on specs for that one.
I sure wish it to turn out to be 17-170mm though!

I was kinda looking forvard to "Bigma" but 18-250 spoil my mood. It's almost like i have 18-200 but i paid for 250... 18 to 135-great, 135 to 200-OK, 200 to 250-if you shooting a landscape, not a lot of details-nice. Nice-not even OK! Never mind, will see tomorrow if not going to work i'll send it buck to Sigma for repair.

One other think. Sigma have very dissent OS. Not this one, i end up using K5 stabilization.

Sigma 18-250. Today i did't go to Queens, instead i vent to photolab where i take my film and make AF fine tune using they'r grey scale, light and tripod this lens is great "vocational" tool, no one intended to be anything else. After adjustment i have better clarity and contrast but i've seen better... I'm going to keep it any way it cost me "Brooklyn special" price, still pretty good walkabout lens.
