I need to buy a replacement hood for my 18-135 which is lost. Does anyone have a good source? I'd prefer a bayonet mount hood, but all I see are screw-mount.

The official hood is PH-RBC62 and lists for $59.95, and B&H sells it for $44.95 right now if you add it to your cart.

Great source of hoods

You might check out Robin Kanta Photographic. Lens hoods, Front & Rear Caps, and Body Caps in California. They have rubber threaded hoods and generic metal threaded hoods.

The collapsible rubber hoods would work great for your 18-135 zoom, since you could collapse it to suit the focal length you have it set to -- much better than any fixed-length hood could ever be. And the 62-mm version is only $5.00.

However, I'd recommend that you phone them at 800-296-5196 to confirm their stock, because they are sometimes out of stock on hoods.

Check Amazon first. There are some hoods there that are for bayonet lenses that might do you and they're a lot cheaper than the original hood usually.

looking for one of those aswell, I bought my 18-135 from a stock clearance and the hood wasn't included. I have bought one of those rubber collapsable things from eBay, but I get bad vignetting at the telephoto end with that one.

Would this be a good one:

I'd prefer the lens hood to click on to the lens as the one on the 18-55 kit lens does, so no screwing on, and easy to reverse for putting the camera in a bag or something.
