The 60-250 is better at 200 and obviously out to 250. The 60-250 is not so great on the edge of the frame at F4 and 60mm but apart from that it's remarkably even all over. The Sigma is a nice lens on crop frame but not so great on FF.

What about SDM speed, sluggish as usual?

Absolutely. This lens design has a much shorter focus-throw than the 50-135. Less distance to rotate when focusing makes the same motor perform much better, despite the lens itself being a stop darker.

Overall, I am very impressed. AF is still not as fast as the Sigma 70-200/2.8 HSMII, but fast for Pentax SDM. At 5.6 it is as sharp as a F*300/4.5 wide open. Actually, I'm amazed that a zoom can be this good, and haven't had this feeling about a zoom lens since when I bought the 50-135 in 2008.

I think it's a really good lens and matches the K5 well for fast focus speed. You can rent one from CameraLensRentals to try it out.
