Just pulled the trigger on a DA* 50-135 f/2.8 on BHphotovideo

Soooo excited to get this lens! I can't wait! Hopefully the SDM doesn't squeek and is working, and the optics are perfect. My K-5 just came this week and now my 50-135 will come next week. 1100 for the K-5 with 18-55 WR and 900 for 50-135. Totaling to 2,000 this month. I'm still planning to buy a genuine DGB4 and DLI90, as well as a 540FGZ.

I really like 50-135. It is a fascinating lens. I use my manually because, you know, SDM went ape.

I really hope the sigma 50-150 is still available, so we can have more choice at this focal length..

Only the one currently at the top of the list in the marketplace.

The new one is Canikon-Sigma only

1 year warranty?, were you able to get an extention or a Mack warranty (7 yr, $39)?
I'm buying one probably today too....

Absolutely love my Sigma 50-150. A little extra reach, sharp, fast focus. Bought mine about a year ago.

I don't know what's causing/justifying these price fluctuations, but the 50-135 is now $899, which is even lens than it was in June during the discount. Get the lens while it's hot!

Should've bought from Amazon, they're good at shipping out of the store asap regardless of what shipping method you chose. I just talked with BHPhotovideo and asked them when it will ship out of the store, and they said it should be here within 8 business days as you chose standard shipping and if I would like them to ship out it out today and it would arrive by Friday, I can go ahead and pay 13 bucks more. I'm guessing they won't ship until it actually takes UPS to get here from within 8 days out that I placed my order.

From https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-news-rumors/180664-pentax-unilater...ml#post1887325

"As the news story suggests, the price of many items will go up.
It does not mean that you won't be able to ever purchase a lens below the minimum price,
it's just likely that when you do, it is because Pentax has a rebate going on."

I bought mine from Amazon since they had a slightly lower price at the time but they did a horrible job packing it. It was loose in the shipping box since it had inadequate padding and the air sacks it did have for padding were deflated. It was still in the Pentax box of course but that was flopping around inside the shipping box along with the DA*16-50 I bought at the same time. I was really disappointed and would have been more upset had it caused any damage to either of the lenses. Everything worked out fine though and I love the lens. The DA*50-135 is in a focal length I don't use a whole lot but I'm happy to have it in my bag since when I do use the lens it performs wonderfully. If were to ever have to part with it I would be quite torn up about the fact.

Congrats on your new acquisitions and happy shooting!
