if i am shooting landscapes, which i do most of the time, I never use AF because i want extreme control over my point of focus and I have time to get it right. If i am shooting candids, of course i use AF.

The only time i ever used manual focus was when I had a macro lens. Otherwise it is auto focus 100% of the time.

With my K20D, AF was used less than 50% of the time because I learned not to trust it. With my K-5, I use AF over 85-90% of the time because it's just that much better.

Seeing as the A50 f/1.2 is practically permanently attached to my K-5 I am skewed to MF. I will use AF when it is bright but as soon as the lights come on back to MF. Wider than f/2.8 with accuracy under varied lighting (i.e. at a gig) is a no go with the K-5's AF module.

I fall into the 10% category. All but two of my lenses are manual focus and I do the bulk of my shooting with longer MF telephoto lenses. That being said I'm not opposed to putting the DA70 or DA* 16~5 into action from time to time.

Always with my most used MF lenses, of course, including Lensbabies, Cosina 55/1.2 and 3 Contax Zeiss lenses.

Depends on the subject and setting for me... When appropriate, its 100% either way, and maybe both... Cheers... M

I sometimes do manual focus, but then I shoot in single shot mode. With AF I use a lot of hi-speed shooting, making my AF-shots good for far over 95 % off my shots

About 25% of the time. I only have 2 AF lenses, the rest are MF Tak, M and Vivitar film lenses.
