What can I replace my 70 ltd with?

Want sharp, high IQ lens. 60-70 area. My 70 ltd has great IQ but the deal breaker is no manual f stop ring. Fudge that, I hate no F ring. If your suggestion has no F ring, dont send it in either. Will look at native as well as 3rd party lenses. No AF is OK. Highest IQ mandatory.

Is 77 the 60-70 area?
Nokton: 58 is closer.

I have both the 58 Nokton and the FA77, and both are outstanding.

Yep either of these. 77 if you want / need AF.

FA*85 but if the extra focal is too much than the FA77.

Sigma 70mm Macro?

Edit: Nope, don't see a version with an aperture ring.

The obvious replacement has been named several times allready.

But as an additional lens I would recommend the Samyang 85 F1.4 (if 85mm is not to long). Doesn't have AF but has an aperture ring and is a bit less expensive then the FA 77 so you might get the Samyang for the aperture ring and still keep the DA 70.

Well, I would suggest the FA 77 as I have one and love it! But it's a mid tele prime on aps-c. The 50 f1.4 or 1.7 is closer to the traditional 85mm portrait lens in FF. Just a thought :-)
